Australian Water Association (AWA)

The Australian Water Association (AWA) is an independent, not-for-profit association for water professionals and organisations, providing leadership in the water sector through collaboration, advocacy and professional development.

Membership - AWA is Australia’s peak water industry body, having the largest – and most broadly based – membership, connecting professionals around the country and across all water-related disciplines. AWA has over 4,000 individual, and 700 corporate members nationally.

Branches - Through branches in each state and territory, and its national office in Sydney, AWA is able to support individuals and organisations throughout the nation. The Association provides the networks for effective interaction among water professionals across all disciplines. The result is an improved community, government and industry understanding of water science, technology, practice and policy.

Waste Management Association of Australia

Operating since 1991, the Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA) is Australia’s leading Association for waste management professionals. With over 1000 members, it represents more than 3000 individuals in the waste and resource recovery industry.

WMAA has a network of State Branches, National Divisions and Special Interest Groups that provide the opportunity for networking, communication and involvement in projects that encourage sustainable waste management.

WMAA represents a broad range of stakeholders and provides a forum for debate in the development of sustainable waste management solutions.
